Cabl proteins are a class of proteins that play important roles in the transport of materials across the membrane of cells. Cabl proteins are a family of membrane proteins that are responsible for protein-based transport of certain molecules across the cell membrane, involving both water-soluble molecules and lipophilic molecules. They are an integral part of cell function, as they are critical for the exchange of metabolites, hormones and other signaling molecules between cells and the environment.

Cabl proteins are divided into three major subdivisions, CablA, CablB, and CablC.
