Hakka is a particular language of the Han Chinese ethnicity. A cultural subgroup with distinctive traditions, Hakka people are found all over the world, including in regions like southern China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.

Hakka has its own distinct language, literature and music. It has a unique vocabulary and melodies, with a variety of language forms including words, expressions and terms. Hakka language is composed of characters similar to Mandarin Chinese and many of the dialects in southern China. However, due to the spread of Hakka throughout the world, a variety of pronunciation styles and accents has emerged.
